Christmas Gift Guide – For The Kids

Christmas is a very magical time for children, and it really comes down to one thing – presents. Family and great food don’t seem to make “the perfect Christmas” for the kids, so the right present is important. And more and more parents are growing tired of stuffed toys that get discarded within an hour. So here’s my Christmas Gift Guide For The Kids, full of ideas that do not include stuffed toys!

Hours of fun guaranteed for kids and parents alike.

NERF N-Strike Elite Strongarm Blaster – £13.99

Nerf guns are quite honestly one of the best pastimes for the kids of this generation (at least when 2 or more kids have a nerf gun each).

Be wary of damage to breakable items and pets. Set boundaries.

Dixit Board Game – £19.69

Who says board games are dead? With the increasing demand for PS4 and Xbox consoles and games, why not take a break and spend some quality family time telling stories and competing for the first place? Our family plays this almost every time we get together, and kids love it!

For extra fun, consider buying some expansions – more beautiful cards equals more fun!

Ant World – £13.80

If you want something a little different (and are not afraid of insects) then why not try an ant farm? It’s almost like a live painting, and a great experience watching the ants build their home.

(Ants are not included to encourage kids to find their own, but can also be bought from Interplay)

Starter Set Carnivorous Plants – £19.99

If your ants get a little out of control, a carnivorous plant will come to the rescue!

There’s nothing quite like seeing a plant move and eat something alive… Please evaluate whether your child will be impressed or terrified by this, prior to purchasing! Wouldn’t want to scar them for life on Christmas…

Craft Art Artists Set – £4.99

Every great artist needs a great set of tools, and these come in a “suitcase”. What’s more professional (and tidy) than that?

Snow Cone / Slushie Maker – £48.95

Now, I don’t know about all kids, but I don’t personally know a single kid who doesn’t like slushies or snow cones. And those don’t come cheap in cafés or cinemas. In fact, I wouldn’t even know where to get a snow cone!

So make your own any time you like! Heck, with this at home, your kids may not even want to go to the cinema any more!

Or you could probably DIY it and make it a heck of a lot cheaper!
